    Soulcraft Voodoo Board Review

Just got in my custom Soulcraft Voodoo Board, I rate it a 10 out of a 10. I would describe my surfing ability as slightly above average before the new board. The board instantly improved my surfing ability, I would rate me as a slightly below good now. Board is fast and agile, I am able to complete shred the wakes and get a little air. Nice thing about the board is I have had several below average to beginners use the board and they all loved it as well. I had the board painted to match the boat, however the board gets hot very quickly in the sun, I would have gone mostly white on the next one. I am a bigger guy, so he made it a little wider, not longer. This helps with the quickness and the ability to store. the boards. The boards finish was kinda flat, not sure if that was by design or what they thought I wanted. I surfed the Hyperlite time machine and Phase 5 Fang before.

Jeff is a great guy and will answer all your questions. I had only been surfing for a month when I ordered this board, so I had a ton of questions. Initially I thought I wanted a different board, Jeff talked me into this one. You need to have a little patience when you go custom. It will not be quick, have patience!!!!! Did I mention, you need to be patient!
    -------

    From their web site:
This board will cast spells! This is a super fast board with tons of pop off the wake. Deep Concave deck for Foot attachment during airs and a sharp Down rail for speed down the wave by just leaning or pump driven. Highly Developed bottom concave contour will increase speed and control. The wider rounded tail is forgiving to stay in the wave from way back or hit your 3’s with ease. Rode stock as a Quad fin set up.

I love my soulcraft voodoo. It's like night and day compared to all other boards I have ridden.

Just got my Voodoo today. Shipped California Friday afternoon, arrived Scotland Monday!! The board looks great, looking forward to trying it out later this week. I went for the standard board to avoid a long leadtime, understated but I like it that way. Yours looks amazing!!

I'm pretty meticulous with designs but that one's a cool-looking board.

I highly recommend Soulcraft. Jeff Wahlers is awesome. For a small fee you can have a one of a kind graphic. he made a Hanu for me 2 years ago and the graphics match my boat.

Don't know if this will help you but I just got off the phone with Jeff. I'm 200 lb and 5 ft 8 inch tall and Jeff set me up with a 4 ft 6 inch board

I didn't mention above but Jeff switched me to a Soulcraft Jordi Pro with some modifications to the board's width since I was shorter but on the heavier side

I have been looking at this board. I am 6'1", 193 lbs. I have been this weight since college, so I don't need something that will handle a heavier me, and I want "quick"... Those who have it, recommendations? I would like coloring that is somewhat close to my boat if possible.

I have both the Voodoo and JS pro. What's your type of riding?
I might sell my JS pro because I now have too many boards

I have the Jordie Pro in 4' 8" as well and really like it (5' 10" and 200lbs)...I could ride a 4' 6" easily, just happened to get the 4' 8" on a rare sale so pulled the trigger. Fast and easy to recover from back of wave, good pop and stable. The secret weapon will be my next board, super light and "slashy" feeling, you can just throw it around that much easier but requires more pumping of course (more of an intermediate/advanced board IMO). Love them both, the feel is very different on the 2 boards and depends on my mood on what i would want to ride, just decided to buy the JS Pro first since it was a lot like my Doomswell Neo (JS is just lighter/thinner) which is what I really started to progress on last year after coming off a skim board that was not built for my size/weight so hard to keep the wave at the beginner level I had then....now I can ride the skim just as easy but I had to get better first and learn how to pump/carve well. The right board makes such a big difference on progression!
