What the word on womens vest?

Hello everyone! Well the wife just cant get comfy in a comp jacket.. Believe it or not she fractured her leg a couple years back on a skimmer and said that if she had a comp jacket in then she might have drowned it hurt so bad. Just looking for the nicest jacket I can find her that is Coast Guard approved.. Piece of mind for her I suppose... Current Obrien is due to retire.

Happened to stumble on this thread the other day on MC forum, seemed to have a lot of good info. May answer your questions, sounds like there are some great CGA vests out there now that are not so bulky yet still do what they are supposed to (float you onto back)....as well as better comp jackets that keep you up better. I just bought a new comp jacket at boat show in Feb and wide mix from very little buoyancy to quite a bit. I picked medium but also trust my driver will get there quick if something happens and to me, surfing has less likelyhood of bad accident vs wakeboarding, but everyone has a different comfort level too. I had a great comp jacket last year....that blew off the back of boat when i was not looking, was sooooooo pissed at myself. Someone got a lucky find that day!
