    Dock Carpet

My Dock is starting to look shabby. Going to either powerwash and stain or have been looking at some carpeting options. Anyone ever carpeted wood dock before? How'd it turn out and how did it weather?

    Just say no to carpet!
If you have never used one of these you will be floored (pun intended) on how well it works, my pier is all Cedar decking and this with one slow pass erased ALL the grey.
Washed, let dry and rolled on some stain, turned out amazing.

My boat was kept at local Marina, docks/wood were old... used outdoor carpet (from Lowe's) and it worked great for 2-3 years. Replaced it, and good for another 2-3 years.

Looks great! What tone did you use? Did you go with the 1500 or 100 series

^^^ - That job looks great.

We bought a house this winter with a neglected dock. I power washed and used Thompson’s Timber Oil but didn’t know about that stain, if I would have, I may have gone that way.

They dropped the water level for two weeks so I took advantage to do the posts too.

I am pretty happy with the results.
