Hyperlite Automatic 5.0 opinions

See that Scheels has the Automatic on sale this week for $375. Any opinions on this board as it’s half off. I’m 6’0” and 215 and pretty much a novice. Was looking at Phase 5 model x but for the money and at my skill level, does it matter?

It's a great board and that is a good price. I ran the Auto 5.0 last season and it is a solid surf style board. Only got rid of it because I upgraded to a HL Super Brand Bucket Chucker.

Agreed with blueroom, on all accounts! The Automatic is a nice fast surf style board. For a novice you may be on the brakes until you gain some control. And, the Bucket Chucker is awesome! I've ridden that board better than any other surf style board
