Started this wake surfing thing in June when we got a 2020 g23. I used to wakeboard 20 years ago, but wake surfing wasn’t invented yet. Started with a ronix bat tail thruster and struggled to let go of the rope (6’ 1”, 250-260). Gregg helped me out with some advice and that helped a lot (many thanks again!).
I had seen people Talk about Soulcraft so I contacted them and after thorough discussions of where I ride, my size and age and goals, water depth, boat etc etc, they recommended a Voodoo and I placed the order (back in July). I also sold the ronix and picked up a phase 5 trident in the meantime and that was a huge difference for me...can now easily surf without the rope and starting to do some slides and small tricks.
Now, this was finally delivered today and I’ll be heading to the lake for the next 6 days or so to give it a whirl...it is truly a great looking board (sent them a pic of our victory red and white G and they came up with this color combo). the build quality and everything about it is top shelf. I can’t wait!
