Joy Stick Surf Rope 3.0 - Great or Another Gimmick

I just purchased a Joy Stick surf rope 3.0 but I have not used it yet. I was wondering if these ropes were any better then a traditional surf ropes or whether it was just another watersports gimmick. I would like to hear from folks who have used them.

I have a similar one, need a fair amount of grip strength to hold it. I prefer a bigger handle.

The advantage is not having a handle to get an arm stuck in which if it happens will make for a potentially really bad injury. The disadvantage can be that for those that are heavier or have poor grip strength they can be difficult to use. It really comes down to a preference thing.

Not a fan myself, this style requires two hands all the time.

Does not appear to be much love on this forum for the Joy Stick handle. Similar to the opinion of forum members on AGM batteries. LOL

I have only used the Joystick surf rope once on a friends boat and I didn't have any problems with it! I do know it's not the best for beginners cause it requires more grip than a normal surf rope.
