    Surfboard Tines

Wondering if anyone knows of a solution for fitting thicker surfboards in the racks of my '07 211? I believe the PO bent the upper tines to get a bit more space, but I'd really like to find a set of surfboard tines that I could swap out with the wakeboard tines. I have no idea if such a conversion exists.
I don't want to spend an exorbitant amount replacing the entire swivel assemblies.
    Help!

I’m not sure who manufactured that vintage of rack, but you should be able to find replacement tines that fit wider boards. That’s what we did for our old Tigé’s stock racks. Might want to check eBay if the manufacturer doesn’t have anything available.

Yeah, that info would be good to know. I should probably fire off an email to Nautique.

Keep in mind that if the boards are thick they typically have a foam core. Keeping foam core Surfboards in these types of racks will almost always result in damage to the boards, especially in rough water. We never put good quality surf boards in the racks. Skim boards are just fine....

Have you ever seen damage like that from the strapless racks on the Paragon? Or is it no issue with those?

I have strapless racks (Roswell Triton racks) on my G23 like the Paragon and carry foam core designed surfboards in them while the boat is underway and I have never had any board damaged cause by carrying them in the racks.

I suspect the new padded vertical racks in the Paragon or G would be just fine for short durations. But I don't put $1200 custom surfboards in my Paragon racks, my sponsor would fire me. If the racks don't ding them sun exposure will expand the foam and cause all kinds of problems. They go in a bag under the stern seats or in the bow when they are not under my feet in the water. I was referring to the horizontal tine racks shown in the picture.

I believe those are Titan racks they sell new forks on their website. https://www.titanwake.com/shop

Yeah, I know they're not ideal, but I have to work with what I have. I don't leave boards in them, I don't frequent big water, and I don't have $1200 boards.

I think I found a solution. Thanks for the help.

Here is pic of my ‘06 with the Roswell replacement that fits one surfboard and one wakeboard. I believe your tower is the same so these should match up with the original screws. Pretty sure it came from NautiqueParts but Roswell has them as well.

Yeah, Roswell was very helpful and actually had a set of take-off double wakesurf tines that they sold me for a really good price. Now, I want a set for the other side.
