    better view

I posted earlier about ballast and got some great responses so I'll ask my next question...

I'm looking for a taller cushion or something to place on the drivers seat to make it easier to get a better view when pulling at wakeboarding speeds with the ballast. I know the new boats have the cool pop up seat.... any suggestions, or does anyone know any products that might have a similar effect? or just where to get some huge cushions

      RE: better view

I have one already, but I'm not that tall... I just wondered if anyone knew of something else specifically for this purpose. I guess I could get a few more cushions.

when i reupholstered my 86, i rebuilt the seat bottom to be a little higher and designed it to angle forward instead of backwards. u might be able to build a wedge to slide in between the seat and the frame

Haha... I'm 5'8. Thanks for the input. I'm sure you were wishing I said I was a "little person" and post pics of me doing some sweet jumps on a 118 board behind my nautique... but....

Andrew, had the same thing done on my '87 when I had it redone. I'm between 5'8 and 5'9 and don't really have problems BUT if you search, you can find a custom flip up seat thread

I was tired of sitting on a cushion, so I raised my drivers seat on my '87 by bending up a couple of 3" 'C' channels out of 16 gauge SS. Drilled holes in the top and bottom flanges of the 'C' and bolted them right in. A glorified spacer between the roto-cast seat bottom and the seat slide mechanism. I can take some pics to post if anybody is interested. Let me know.

Here's a how-to article on a bolster seat add on for the driver seat that might help.
