    O'Brien Synchro

Anybody out there have any comment on the O'Brien Synchro? I've been riding an O'Brien World Team with stock bindings for three years and think it's time I moved up in the world. I recently started going to M2 sports ski school in Houston just to get better. They let me ride a D3. Not ready for that ski. I also rode the HO Burner. That felt pretty good. Another option would be to simply replace the stock binding with some thing better along with the RTP. I was looking at the O'Brien Synchro. I also hear the Connelly F1X is pretty good. All comments and info is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Try skiing the F1X or the HO Nitro (I believe this was FKA the Vengance). Both are pretty fast and also friendly in less favorable water. Both will be good ski's to get you to the next level.

The syncro is a surprisingly agile ski. I have ridden it thru the course a lot. There is even one of the big dog semi finalist that runs 38 off on it, so its quite capable. BTW I would probably make a deal on it if you could use a 66" with large contact double bindings. Let me know if your interested.

NCH2oSki, I am interested. I am looking to buy a 66". What are you asking. I am not real fond of the back boot. But depending on the price I might be able to adjust.

I'll take $150.00 picked up, and I travel a lot thru the south east. Or I will ship for actual shipping cost, guessing around $20.00. I'll take a few photos on Sunday, and send them to your email if you like.

It was Kyle Tate at the Skiview bigdawg and the BD finals in Orlando. He ran 39 1/2 about 4 times total in runoffs and qualify. I think some ski makesr are having a good look at what a bit of width can do to the forbody of the ski. The syncro will go to 41 off and beyound.

This is pretty promising info actually. I was taking a hard look at the Triumph but if I can get myself off the HO Kool-Aide I'll take a serious look at this ski!

Will this ski have the HO hole pattern or would I have to get new bindings with it?

                      Joel,

My neighbor has a Triumph, it was not as responsive as I like and IMO did not hold it's edge very well. I have a Vengeance which is a really nice "wider" type ski, looking at getting either a Monza or System 8 for next season. Prior to my Vengeance only skied O'Brien, really liked them just wanted to try something different. If you are interested in a "demo" let me know.

Remember folks, Kyle Tate could run 39 1/2 on a 2X4. But if it works, its alot cheaper then the new 9800.

Come on Mark...I could jump at least 6" higher with my Dee Brown Reebok "pumps" than ordinary gym shoes.

(did I just date myself w/ the Dee Brown reference? 8-) )

The man can ski on a 2x4. But I would take the 9800 if I had to choose.
I could jump higher in my ChucKy Taylors. That dates me.
