Has anyone ever installed a fat sac in the belly of a 206? I was thinking of putting in under the floor in place of the cooler. It's a pretty big area under there. I haven't measured but I'm thinking the Fly High tube sac 10"x16"x 62" - 370 lbs would fit. It would be easy to plumb in and could run it off the "belly tank" switch on the dash.

I put a fat sac in the floor cooler area on my 216. It should work just the same on the 206.1973 CC Skier

I did not plumb it. I just fill and empty it using the sac pump. I use the 600 lbs sac but can not fill it full, if i had to guess maybe 1/2 to 3/4 capacity1973 CC Skier

I was checking the dimensions of the under floor area to see what size sac to use. (FYI the dimensions are 8"tall x 20"wide x 60" long.) On each side of the belly area there is a thin piece of fiberglass. On the starboard side, the wiring runs from the engine compartment/battery to the dash area and this thin fiberglass creates a wiring chase that separates the wiring from the rest of the belly area. Same thing on the port side, but no wiring on this side. The dimension between them is 20".
My question is
1. does anyone else have something like this, and
2. does anyone who has a belly sac have problems with the tank pressing on this thin fiberglass piece and cracking or breaking it in half.
It gives pretty easily when you press it and it doesn't seem like it could take a lot of force without breaking. My concern is if I get a 20" wide belly sac, the sac will expand enough when full that it will put pressure on this area. I think I should anticipate some expansion, but don't know how much. Any ideas?
One more question, what is the purpose of that black rubber mat thing?Comment
