    Mooring Whips

    Hi all,

I know that I haven't been around too much recently, but I could use your help...

I need a new pair of mooring whips and am considering the Dock Edge Premium http://www.boatersworld.com/product/369910328msk.htm. I used to have the Monarch Mooring Whips with the orange adjustable bases. THey worked fine but these Dock Edge ones have rubber piece in the base that expands to push the whips up and out of the way of towers when not under load.

DOes anyone have any experience with these?

    THanks in advance.

    RE: Mooring Whips

I've been using these for about a month now. The ropes still hang out and get into the tower a little but it isn't too big of a deal. They do a great job of keeping the boat safely away from the dock! The boat is parked in one of the roughest parts of the lake and the whips are rock solid! The boat never gets into the dock!
