Tower vs Pylon barefoot boom for 216

Have any 216 owners installed either a tower or pylon barefoot boom on their 216?

I learned to barefoot last night on a pylon boom on a friend's 196 & with the boat moving I climbed out the side of the boat & positioned myself at the end of the boom before dropping my feet, swinging them around & poping up.

Over at Overtons, it looks like they've got a Tower mounted boom almost a foot over the top of the tower of a MC ( http://www.overtons.com/modperl/prod...0540&aID=5 ).

Can the 216 use either boom? If so, what is the preferred boom? Is the adjustable height on the tower boom worth the extra $200? Can the tower boom be brought down almost to gunnel level to allow in-boat starts?

I've seen other threads on the boards about booms, but none as they relate to the 216.

I have an 05 216 and just use my normal Curved BI Boom. Even with a tower you still have to hook up the cables so I just attach it to the bow and the pylon.
