    Barefoot booms?

I am getting my first Nautique, a 2007 206 limited. i want to put a boom on it but i've heard some say get a staight boom others say the drop down? i will be using it with my kids alot and the drop down sounds like a good option for stepping over and general moving around in the boat. i thought i would ask the experts here for some advise.

Not sure if this helps but a friend of mine put this on his older nautique. He is able to move the boom up and down.

I would recommend the BI curved. I have had mine on a 196 and now my 216.

I also recommend the BI curved. I have a curved BI and a straight BI and have used both of them in a 99 Sport, 2006 216, and a 2007 206. The curve seems to be easier to mess with. I stick my boom out the driver's side of the boat. However, if you put the boom out the passenger side, then the curve is probably your best choice.

And for easy moving up and down, I would recommend the BI boom adjuster (about $80 normally). I have one for each of the booms and it's very stout and very nice.

Curved, bent, straight... if you have a tower, you may want to consider the curved boom, but should also know that the further back you go, the gretaer chance that spray may be a factor. I have a 206 w/tower and a bent boom but is somewhat a PITA to hookup as it needs to go in front of the rear tower leg.
