Why don't you just throw a handful of Chinese made toys in the boat?

you could go to play it again sports and get lead plates for weight lifting, they used to be .50 per lb. Not sure how that is cost wise versus other sources.

Not a bad idea NCH2oSki. The good thing about the Pop bags is that they are easy to move around and conform to the shape of the hull. 400lbs of Pop bags is $375 delivered.

I,ve been looking as well - Internet searches and several phone calls and found that lead bricks in the 25lb range are $60 a piece - to get 400lbs I was looking at around $1000 for the package - even local lead was at $54 for the brick - pops has the best deal for weight I have found - like just mentioned 400lbs for $375 delivered

                lead

                thanx fellas

the pop products are on the way.

This seems the best, most sano solution to me.

Someone even said they pull all the wieght out of thier boat for skiing and throw a POP bag in the nose.

                I'm all over trying that.

                  RE: lead

Great choice svsam! At 40lbs a piece and in nice packaging with the handle, they will be easy to move around the boat where you can adjust on the fly if needed. Enjoy!

Pop bags have steel shot in them and not lead, but thanks anyway for that educational post.

OK here a easy fix to your problem:

                        4000 BB's ($10) + 1 empty Tide container($0) (smaller one)= 24lbs

Just what Im going to use!

I like the Tide bottle idea. I use lead shot in old 1/2 gallon orange juice jugs. I have 6 that are 50# and 7 that are 25#. i started doing this after Leadfoots were no longer available. They have handles and fit under the seats fine. I do think there is something to the density of the plates as I don't quite get the same wake as a friend with an identical boat and weight with leadfoots because I cannot place the weight in the exact same place. I need one extra adult to achieve an identical wave for surfing.
I thought about the POP bags, but until these present a problem somehow, there is no need to replace. POP's are the best deal out there by far.

Just FYI for anyone interested in another option:

                            www.pounderz.com

It comes with a nice handle for lifting in/out of the boat too. Although, the Pop product looks pretty nice, plus a bit more weight if that is what you are looking for.
