I ride a 67.5 Sixam 1point and love it. It's like my old Goode but much friendlier. My sister, my newphew and almost anybody else that tries likes it. It's very user friendly for a high end ski. Another option might be the Obrien Allegiance, you can pick one up from Wiley's new with double high wraps for $499.

As to the RTP vs rear boot discussion. It doesn't matter to me, I can and do ski with both options. The fit of my RTP binding is much more important than the fit of a boot. It needs to fit tight across my whole foot from just behind my toes to just in front of the ankle bend. It often takes three or four kicks to get my back foot in so the strap is just pulling my foot down on the ski, not pushing it back. The footbed under a strap is also fairly important.

You made a good choice in the syncro. One of the Big Dog competitors runs it into 41' off. I made my first complete 15' off pass thru the course with it. Several members of our ski club have them. It has a lot of potential, and you can easily ride it all day long on the open water. Enjoy it for the short time till it gets to cold.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower
