    Fresh Air Exhaust

The Fresh Air Exhaust is now available for boats with the Hydrogate. Not sure how long it has been available but it was not in 2006 when I originally wanted one for my 211.

It's available now and I want mine polished. If you have been considering the purchase please order your polished FAE in February so Larry will have enough orders to make a batch of polihsed Nautique FAE's. There is a $50 discount for February orders too. Maybe we can hit him up for free shipping if we get enough orders?

Are the polished units stainless? I've been thinking about getting one as well.

I thought about putting one on my 98 196. You have to remove the bolts for the center support for the back platform. You then put a bracket on the center support and reinstall the bolts holding on the center support.
On my boat, I don't have easy access to the nuts on the inside of the hull.
It seems like I'd have to remove the gas tank and I didn't want to do that.
The other alternative is to just drill into the hull to mount the support bracket for the FAE.
I don't surf, I wanted it to quiet things down, but it wasn't worth the trouble to me.

Has anyone seen the final install on a 211 (or any boat with the hydrogate)? The pictures on their website only show an unfinished installation, and I'm not a big fan of threaded rod sticking out of the transom of my boat. This looks like a great spring upgrade.
Although I may just stick with the original exhaust and the carbon monoxide headache, that way when my kids get on my last nerve I have something to blame it on.

Can we get any update if you are satisfied with the FAE?

Does it reduce the noise significantly?

How does it affect the tricks wake?

              Fresh Air Exhaust

I installed my FAE earlier this year on my 2008 236. Haven't really noticed any negative impact to the boat in terms of speed or wake performance. Have noticed a significant impact on fewer headachs at the end of the day and cleaner air to breath when I'm surfing. Installation was pretty straight forward and Larry gives you plenty of odds and ends to make sure the project can get completed. Posted a few pics for the group.

PM me if you have any questions.
