    Spare Prop

Debating on getting a spare prop for a trip away from home. Just curious how many carry a spare prop? Is it worth the $500+ for a "just in-case"?

    RE: Spare Prop

I think it mostly depends on where you boat, I never needed one in NC, and cant live without one on the TVA lakes in TN. If you do get a prop, you would also need a puller of some sort, our spare prop and puller are in the garage, and not on the boat.

Adding to the question....is the ACME soft case any good to carry your prop in? Does it provide enough protection? ...or would a blow molded case with padding be better?
