I'm strictly a slalom skier, so I'm totally ignorant when it comes to things in the wake board arena. I ski in board shorts and every pair I get comes with a plastic gizmo tethered via an elastic string to the inside of the pocket. It sometimes has a bottle opener on it - which I figured out on my own - but what I can't figure out is what the heck the purpose of the plastic gizmo is with the ridges and sharp edges. Anyone care to enlighten me?
