Pictures to highlight and lowlight the year.

Just some pictures of the boat and us skiing, along with a couple pictures of my arm after the rope got wrapped around it while barefooting. Season's over...Sooner than it should be.

                RE: My low-low-light

Wow, Daryl. Brutal. I wish you a speedy recovery. That just sucks.
My son rides MX, and on July 31st, right after your injury, came down goofy off a triple, and landed on his right knee. 33 stitches, shattered kneecap. From the impact, not sliced, more like burst. Not sure if I can even post a pic, it is really, really, nasty. he is still on crutches, and will be for another 6 weeks. This happened the day after he won the MN State Surf Championship. While not a lake injury, still ended his lake season, and motocross season for the year. He posted a video of the cleaning procedure on YouTube. So a search for "cleaning knee"

Daryl, that is disgusting. Not as bad as the guy I saw the other morning pulled off the side of the road with his pands around his ankles dropping a dookie right on the shoulder though...

                    RE: My low-low-light

hollywood - you are a funny guy!!!! Good one.

I debated posting the pic cause it is a little graphic...

I certainly learned that a nasty injury sucks big time. Funny thing was, I was having a great summer and skiing very conservativly, working on longer line lengths (I was getting into 32 off @ 34 MPH).

Just got the go ahead today to be Full Weight Bearing (FWB), so that is a really good thing.

And WakeSlayer - hope your kid heals quick - he will likely be running marathons before I'll be jogging - I'm just too dam old to heal fast - so the doc says

Daryl, thanks. He is at the very least 6 weeks away from any real weight bearing. He is currently touch-weight bearing with a brace, and crutches only. He's got a long, long road ahead of him. At least you have the sense to do what the doctor tells you. He is 16 and going out of his mind. Thinks cause it doesn't hurt everything is ok now.....

Good luck again to your recovery.

Pretty sure he is telling the Dr. which arm to do and not do. Otherwise he may have two sets of scars and only one fixed bicep tendon.

Yes - the Nurse did that just before I went under. Not exactly sure what the squigly lines were there for - guess the surgeon may have been somewhat bored?
