    Summer Vacation Ideas Pacific Northwest

Any good riding spots in Washington - Oregon - Idaho you have been to / heard about? We've visited Lake Chelan and Crescent Bar (Columbia River in Central Wash.) and I am just looking for other fun spots with good water. Come on Summer!

Lake Pend O'rielle in Sandpoint, ID or Priest Lake further north of there.
    North Idaho is beautiful.

      NW Lakes

Coeur d' Alene lake is the best, great party lake with many hot spots (Arrow Point for one) and more water than you can navigate. Calm water can always be found either in the Spokane River or down the St Joe river out of St. Maries. Lots of small lakes connected by some narrow channels which also open up unlimited skiing opportunites. Many good places to stay around the lake, cabin, hotel, RV etc. Carlin Bay is another great party spot. Pend O'Relle (sp?) or Priest are ok but water is cold, especially Priest but also some great party spots on either.

Lake Roosevelt (Columbia River) is also very nice, warm water, miles (150) of glass and beach. This is mostly undeveloped land with not a lot of services. You can always find calm water and be by yourself on a beach. Great campgrounds but not really any hotels etc.

You want fun - hit Coeur d' Alene, you want seclusion and warm water - hit Roosevelt, been doing these for 45 years

If the water level is there, it's hard to beat Lake Shasta in upper Northern CA. BKH

Priest is as clear as the Carib. Sky Ski used to or still does have their annual Fly-In there. The water is a bit cold but mid summer is 90-95 and super dry there. I have a cabin just over the range on the east side of Priest.
CdA is really nice. Any of the three big lakes there are just plain amazing.

My favorite place in the world. Period.

Lake Billy Chinook is supposed to be good. I am heading out there in a couple months. Also you can ride on the willamette and columbia rivers - there are good spots on both rivers.
