There are just too many things about that boat that make it evident that the builders don't have a clue. For starters, the guages (guage) are in the middle and a digital speedometer is the worst in open water boating; not refering to auto-pilot systems. Good luck! Why would anyone buy a "new" standard boat for $27k when you can get a very, very, very nice used nautique for that same price that will be 10x's the boat? If you could buy a pretty nice used Ferrari for the same price as a "new" Mustang, which would you do? I think these guys didn't think their business model through well enough. New price point boats get crowded out by quality used inventory. Talk about bad timing for starting a boat company.

I like the Air Nautique stickers on the board of the guy in the "Action" section

Looks like a $27,000 boat - I'll be on the lookout for a 2009 model ten years from now
Doubt I'll find one that can stand up to the test of time that Nautiques have!

I see more Mastercraft in the look then a Nautique. I agree buy a use N vs a new standard.

Its the new Bayliner of ski boats. Remember the old Challenger ski boats, they didn't last.

There is also a new price based boat on the market called the Axis 22. I think the website is axiswake.com Who knows if they will make it, but you have to start somewhere. I doubt any of these boats can stand up to the quality and owner care that correct craft offers, but it is good to see new boats out there. The time of 70 to 100 thousand dollar wakeboard boats has been coming to an end for a few years now. It is about time. Not that my nautique isn't worth everything I paid for it. I love my nautique! I didn't love hunting for an acceptable price for five months. Also, I hate the wind!

I've been around Correct Crafts and Correct Craft owners for over 40 years. One of the things I've always liked is it that CC owners don't have to explain themselves. They don't have to brag their boats are the best, and they don't have to trash talk about others.

It's kind of like Barry Sanders or Joe Montana. They didn't have to talk about being the best, they were the best. I don't recall ever reading about either trash talking other players. They had no need.

I think its cool to check out other boats, and to talk about what's going on in the industry. But, in my mind, leave the trash talk to others with a chip on their shoulder. CC owner's know and that should be enough.

i personally think the hull and rear end look fine, but the top deck and windshield and backwards tower make it look so aweful. i mean the window sides should be below the front part, not above. it's still good to see folks trying to help other's get into the wonderful world of water fun.

I don't want to argue with you, but I disagree. Why would someone pay thirty for a 2001 with 500 hundred hours on it with no warranty rather than pay thirty for a brand new boat, larger ballasts, better trailer, more add ons, and a warranty? Or why would anyone pay thirty for a 2001 with 500 hours on it when you can get a brand new 2008 210 with full warranty for around fifty with incentives from the dealer? That is not even bringing in to the conversation the deals that both mastercraft and malibu are offerring on thier new boats right now. Our local dealer here in AZ is selling a 2008 Malibu VLX with add ons for fifty-five and from what I have been told about mastercraft at the boat show, a person can get a 2008 mastercraft for a song.

A couple hundred bucks worth of gauges would definitely make it look more like a boat and not a toy.

i was looking at the dts website and they have some dedicated guages that don't look bad at all. i don't understand the placement of the smart tow. seems like the helm is where the guages should go IMO.

Axis boats are a break off company of Malibu so they are probably gonna be a okay bet. As far as the trashing other boats are you kidding me that boat is ridiculously stupid me and my and my little sister could come up with something better than that.

Maybe so the spotter can fiddle with the settings instead of the driver.

because in a year, the 2001 CC will be worth $29K, and the new 'other' boat will be worth $22K (especially if the company goes under).

                                Great idea! Poorly executed!
I'd love to get into something LIKE that, simply because I wouldn't have to redesign everything when I am customizing it for myself... It is nice to be able to start with a blank slate! I'd prefer an option that consists of nothing but hull, drive train, and seat bases, for a budget boat... Of course, I always tend to do things the hard way lol
