Alright, I would really love to make it over the wake. I am fairly new to riding, I can't make it all the way over, usually a few feet short. I don't want to shorten the rope up (its at 70') Any tips or pointers???

RE: Rookie rider!
set the speed as low as you can while the boat is still planed off and the wake is not washy(no ballast). start at the wake, cut out pretty far. then flatten off and do not start cutting at the wake until you are being pulled back into the wake by the boat. then start your edge slowly and make sure you hold it all the way through the very top of the wake. weight should be distributed evenly on your feet. drop your back hand if you need to in the air for balance. the main thing to do here is to hold your edge through the top of the wake and push off at the very tip. i could go clear 80' from 4 feet out with the right edge. if you can ride 3-4 times a week you will see your riding progress faster than you can imagine. don't be afraid to slaysh the wake and do ollie's either. it improves your board control a great deal. hope that helps.
