Here's a picture of mine during the drought of 2007 on Lake Martin. I think the water was down about 17' in this picture. I hope to add a covered slip with a lift to the left of the fixed dock in the future. The floater is a necessity because the water varies on Martin similar to Smith. It drops about 10' during the dead of winter with normal rainfall. The fixed dock is built right at full pool level.

I'll agree with you there. We looked for a year and a half for a place on Brushy. Its the most beautiful part of the lake in my opinion.

$2500 isnt a bad deal on a dock like that at all! but like you said, got to get those styrofoam floats out by the end of the year.

Just finished this spring. Water isn't as nice as Smith Lake but the level only varies about 18 inches between winter pool and 100 year flood level.

The dock is nicer than the cabin we have.
But that's ok since you don't go to the lake to stay inside!

Bubba's Marine Construction does a great job.

It just needs some bunk frames made out of PVC pipe with plastic air mattresses and you can sub-let the cabin.
