My oldest daughter learned the deep water start on her wakeboard this summer. Last summer we would hold her in shallow water and help push her up. So this summer we started talking about getting her lessons. She said she didn't want a stranger in the water with her and that she could do a deep water start on her own. Sure enough, first try she was up and riding. It was pretty cool watching it. All it takes is a little incentive...positive, or in this case negative. Whatever the case, she can now do it and it makes it so the wife can be in the boat watching while our daughter rides.
