I hate to sound like a negative nancy, but to me this just screams wrong. Why should people contribute to someone we do not even know nor have ever heard of in our sport? There are plenty of things such as life insurance, getting a real job, friends, etc for this type of support. If everyone just got online and wrote a sob story asking for money where would be? I mean isn't that what welfare is for anyway? IMO, if it were something like Maxine was in a bad accident and has no health insurance I would possibly consider donating, but this just rubs me the wrong way.
p.s. I'm having a great day so my mood in no way sparked my need to write this.
