Saw a guy ride a wakeskate onto shore yesterday..........

LMAO. The last two days I've been at Lago Santa Fe near Houston skiing with Jodi Fisher, the pro skier. After one of my sets, Jodi went down to one of the other 4 lakes to pull a younger jumper. I was sitting there talking to Lori Krueger and an 08 MC TT 197 came barrelling up the lake through the channel from the other lakes pulling a wake skater. As Lori started telling me that this was their newest Wally home owner with more money than sense, the driver pulled the wake skater around the turn island in the wrong direction. And sped up! So instead of pulling him into the narrow side and out the wide side, he did the opposide. The wake skater was on the outside of the wake and got thrown out wide and WHAM! Right into the rocks edging the turnaround area! This dumba$$ kid gets thrown up the hill and just rolls for about 50 feet. Then sits there dazed. Oh, to have had a camera to catch that!!!! It amazes me that you have to have a driver's license to drive a car, which has brakes. But any moron can get behind the wheel of a high powered ski boat.

When we were younger we worked on the beach landing forever one summer. It started of disasterously as it's really, really hard to gauge how quickly you'll lose speed, so we had a lot of stopping in 2-3 feet of water, all the way to hitting the beach to quickly and coming out of the ski, and then finally learned that you have to come in at an angle, instead of straight on. It's a tough landing to make, but what an idiot in the Mastercraft.

The boat driving committee has to approve ALL drivers on our lake. Even if it's your own boat.

In Florida for the public lakes there is a test

They place a mirror under your nose and
if it fogs up you can drive a boat - even better
            You can own a PWC

Sounds like an HOA/Nazi nightmare to me, but glad it works out ok for y'all.
