    Wii Sports Resort

Okay guys. Mom-in-Law gets the kids a Wii and wife brings home the new Wii Sports Resort, so I cave and give it a go. One of the activities is Wakeboarding. Anybody play it yet? You can't fall except for hitting obstacles in Intermediate and Expert but you get points for landing flat. Too bad CC didn't swing the boat in the game.

So far my records 1490. Yellow_Flash_Colorz: My son's gonna freak when he see's that (he had the record at 1156).

I saw that game for the first time last weekend. Looks pretty cool. Nothing like having a higher score than the kids. It'll just make him want to play it more.

So is Wii Sports as fun as the original sports package?

I like it better. You're on an island resort and have things like sword fighting, flying, sky diving, frisbee, cycling, archery, a much better table tennis, etc. Downside is that it requires a "Wii plus" and only one comes with the game, so go ahead and buy a second ($20).

And my score is now 2148. The trick is to make sure you land FLAT!

okay. I had a long standing record of 2365, and my son finally trumps it with 2416. I got the title back though with 2900. Half a second from hitting 3K!

I just got it for Christmas. So far my best is 1397. 2900 is a crazy score. Do you get more points as you ride Intermediate and Advanced vs. Beginner? Is there something else I'm missing?

I'm still working on the landing flat thing. I'll be cruising along thinking I have it down and then...BAM...I can't land 3-4 tricks in a row. I know I'll get it down as I play more. Good thing I have this week off of work.

that's a beginner level. adv and exp just add obstacles. 2900 is getting into a groove and hitting consecutive 100's. Landing is everything.

I'll keep working on it and post my progress. I hope I'll be able to get to 2900 points. Have you ever sniffed it again?

sniffed? gotten close? I've hit 2400+ a couple of times but can't quite get back to the top. Still got to fine tune my landings. I'm very curious what you can get if you don't lose one. Even at 2900 I messed up on a couple of landings, which means you have to work your way back up to 100 per jump.

And I haven't played much lately. Son got Cabela's big game hunter for Christmas. Too busy being mauled by a bear Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

Definitely a fun one, haven't had too much time to play it much yet (have two kids that like the sword slicing game) but I see the tower on it could be close to a CC! Haha
