I am selling an Equal-i-zer 1,200/12,000 weight distributing hitch on eBay. Just thought I would post the link in case anyone needs one. This one is in great shape. I only used it a couple of times.

Let me jump in here and vouch for this bad boy... I have one that I use to tow a 33 ft travel trailer (8k plus stuff, so probably 10k?) with a Tundra and I've towed that thing to Kentucky, Tennessee, Bama, etc. and that hitch is AWESOME!!! It sounds like the titanic is sinking when you go around a tight bend, but I've towed massive hills, curves, high wind, etc. and this hitch makes a HUGE difference. If you have something large that's a bumper pull I would HIGHLY recommend this hitch.

Is it better to use a weight distribution hitch vs an adjustable hitch?

I'm about to head out to buy an adjustable ball/hitch because I need to raise my trailer up when towing it with my Land Cruiser. The ball I currently have isn't high enough and when it's bearing the full weight of the trailer it sinks the Cruise down too much, so I need to raise the ball up...thus the adjustable hitch.

hitch question..

They do different things. I believe the EQ hitch is adjustable, too. I don't use it for my Nautique, but for the Dutchmen. It's great for it's anti sway properties, and weight distribution. Sounds like the titanic sinking, but it does the trick.
