"Happy Holidays" on the CC Website..??

Ok folks, I couldn't let this one go without saying something. Just noticed that CC put "Happy Holidays" on their website rather than Merry Christmas. Is anyone else out there disappointed in this...or is it just me?? (especially given the Christian heritage of the company)

Happy Holidays it is

This is really a religious subject, just as controversial as politics. Even at work now we refer to our (Christmas) party as the "Holiday" party. Do I have a problem with it, no, I don't. I'm not sure why anyone would, you may have "Christmas" in your home, the next may not, you may say Merry Christmas, the next may say Happy Holidays. Does it matter, if it does, you might try and be a little more understanding of others and just enjoy the season and celebrate this time for what it means to you and not worry about CC.

2. There's NOTHING controversial about Christmas. Christmas is Christmas. It's about Christ. I've already corrected several people at stores and on the phone this month, it's MERRY CHRISTMAS. Not Happy Holiday's. Christmas IS the holiday. If someone's offended...........TOUGH!!
3. VERY VERY unhappy at your web page CC. Please correct that Bill.
4. Understanding of others..............in what way?! You either believe.........or you don't. Can't have it both ways, when "you're" time comes, you'd better know where your soul stands.


BTW 2004196............MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your's...................from a family that can't "understand" why the @#%#@#**#@ I have to press 1 to continue in english!!

I suppose that's controversial too.

2004196, I believe the issue is not tolerance, but that CC promotes their Christian beliefs and has now bent to the PC world and gone to something else. I am tolerant when I meet people that don't celebrate Christmas and expect them to be tolerant to me. This is the same reason I REFUSE to shorten CHRISTmas to Xmas. Don't want to take CHRIST out of it. This world is bending over backward to accommodate the few, when really we should ACCEPT everybody. This country was founded on Christian principles with a tolerance for other religions, but this doesn't mean we should remove those core beliefs due to the intolerance of those religions.

If I'm sending a message to Bill, it wouldn't be to change the website for 30 days when it will be changed anyway. I'd be sending a message like figure out how to get the 200 to go 45+ with the 343 or continue to improve on quality or way can't I get an answer from Customer Service on my warranty issues being I don't have a dealer local!!!!

Crads, that's the point. The 'Reason for the Season' is being left out. It has been reduced to seeing which store can make the most money, which is why you see Christmas stuff out before Halloween is over. The MEANING of Christmas is to celebrate Jesus. The MEANING of Happy Holidays is 'let's forget Christ and enjoy ourselves'.

Not trying to pick at you Crads, just wanting CC to stick to the values they build their business around. This country is on a runaway train to ruin because IT has gotten away from these same core beliefs.

Well, lets see crad................ how many times in the past 3-4 years have people been blasting, boycotting companies for trivializing the "reason for the season" sir? They have demanded, if you will, that their signs, ad's of all kinds be changed from happy holidays to MERRY CHRISTMAS lest their business suffer, because THEY were offended by Christmas being taken out of the equation. Most complied, while others still insist on NOT offending the MINORITY!!

I can't tell CC what to do with their web site anymore than anyone could convince me that the Ft. Hood POS wasn't a terrorist. But I don't have to like it, and I can dang sure let 'em know it.

If you think that I'm making a big deal out of this..............I can live with that...........and myself.

I am a christian, but I do not see the issue with it. There are other holidays during the same period as Christmas. There's Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, and Al Hijra. Maybe it's a message to wish all people a happy time during that period, rather than just Christians.

The original "Happy Holidays" implied two....Christmas and New Year's Day.

In the northeast, the Jews celebrated Hannukah with a week off. But I'm pretty sure they weren't saying "Happy Holidays".

I guess Hannukah, Kwanzaa, and Al Hijra all chose red and green as the decorating colors....either that or somebody's gettin' stiffed.

Once again, this is not an argument about whether or not to say Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas, this is about CC sticking to it's core beliefs.
