RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Happy Holidays it is

so should the expression Christmas shopping be changed to "holiday" shopping? whatever season it is...... we started with Christmas because our fore fathers where christians. they left england in search for religious freedom, their practicing faith was christianity. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ thus merry Christmas. air tool makes a very good point as does skitower. CC needs to have backbone in what they believe/stand for.

if we want to be legalistic...... the bible/Jesus tells us not to celebrate his birth but to celebrate is resurection.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Happy Holidays it is

Folks, God chose to step into this world through the person of Jesus Christ...to offer a way of redemption. He entered our world through a doorway called Bethlehem, and the world was changed forever. Christianity is Christ-centered and Christmas is the time that we Christians have chosen to remember and celebrate the birth of our Savior. "The Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father's one and only Son. (John 1:14)

CC has certainly expressed that they are a Christ-centered company. I converted from Mastercraft to CC because I was astonished to find a company that shared not just a strong conviction to the sport I love, but a strong conviction to the faith that saved my life...!! I'm just very disappointed in the fact that they chose a path of conformity, a path of PC. Didn't used to be such a thing as "happy holidays" several years back.
      Peace..

I back CC on this one, and I guess I'm the only one. Do you guys really think Christians are the only humans that should be acknowledged/respected this time of year? Do you think that CC built boats strictly for Christians? Get real guys, they are in the business of selling boats to everyone, black, white, and brown people from all countries and religions of this world. The ignorance is running very thick in this forum....

nobody said or implied that the make/sell them just for christians. they established that they are a christian based company. they came out and said that that is what they are, what they represent. to some of us, by not putting merry Christmas.... they are not in fact doing that. sorry im prolly just being ignorant.

I'm sorry, but I disagree. People of other faiths are more than welcome to purchase CC's, but do so with the understanding of the core values of the company. As I said in a previous post, tolerance and understanding is the way through the differences. I say Merry Christmas, you say Happy Hanuakkah. We are all wishing well. I should not be forced to hide my beliefs for the sake of offending someone as long as it is in a positive light.

And what we are asking for is consistency. This is a Christian company. Keep your Christian ways. The company I work for focuses on diversity, and I would expect to see Happy Holidays. But CC promotes their faith and we are just asking them to reflect this.

The hardest part about having a deep discussion with some is the lack of LISTENING. I have not seen ANY ignorance in this forum, what I have seen is a constant diversion from the topic at hand. If you don't LISTEN to what is being said and attempt to understand the point, how can you expect to have an intelligent response?

All we are asking for is a company that publicly expresses it's beliefs to consistently stick to them. We are NOT asking for CC to refuse to do business with anybody and we are not asking the general public to not acknowledge other holidays and faiths. But I am tired of not being able to fly the flag in this country, symbols of faith being removed from public places, and overall submission to the few squeaky wheels that choose to make a big deal about things and expect US to conform to THEM.

I am proud to own a CC not only for the quality and functionality, but for the people and values they represent.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Happy Holidays it is

I too am disappointed in that CC has decided to not to stand by their core principal and not wish everyone a Merry Christmas on their home page. If any has not read the book "Parting the Waters" Mr Walt told the Gov back in WWII that they would build boats for them in record time but that they WOULD NOT build on Sunday. The Gov't balked but because he stuck to his prnicipals and told Uncle Sam that Sunday was a day of rest and it was the Lords day; not only did they meet the goal but surpassed it. Tell me that God's hand was NOT involved with that. If any of you ever get or had the chance to talk to Mr. Ralph Meloon or even Ken Meloon (I have) their faith in our LORD is VERY apparent and if you ask for an autograph they will much oblige but a biblical passage reference WILL be included with it.
If CC is going to pride themselves on the sucesses that they've had and the fact that the've been around since 1925 then go back to the Christian values and roots from which they were founded.

It's ironic that business's want to cash in on the Christmas holiday but are soooooo afraid of saying Merry Christmas or even promoting it so as not to offend those who do not celebrate it. How many of you are off on Christmas day? How many businesses are open? Not too many. People out there want the benefits of this day but don't want to recognize it for what it is. Face it, if it weren't for Christmas then they would't be in the black for the month of December in the first place.
If you can't do it in, on, or behind a Nautique..... It just ain't worth doing!

I realize you're just trying to stir the pot, but first, Jesus is capitalized (it is a name). Second, one of the best lines I've heard is this: "if you're gonna live like there is no God, you better be right"

And as far as paying for gas, those of us that believe feel ALL comes from GOD, so the simple fact I have a boat, job, house, lake to go to, family / friends to enjoy it with, is because of Him.

                      Okay, preaching over!

First of all, the Firefox browser wanted me to correct the spelling of "Jesus"

Now, to the point. I have worked many summer camps with my boat, teaching youth to wake board, and ski. The Christian camps have paid for my gas, my food while I was there, my lodging while was there, my gas to and from the camp, and my food while I was traveling. They have paid for repairs to my boat for damages caused by the camp.
Many of my friends I take out in my boat currently I met at these camps, and they pay for my gas.
When I work on the boat my church owns, they pay me what I ask for, no questions asked.

So, to answer, has Jesus ever paid for my gas? Yes He has.

                              Daniel,

                              Too funny.

God has given me everything I have. So yes, he paid for the gas, boat, life jackets, wakeboards, and he even made just for me the hot chick that I get to call me wife.....

                                hahahaha, nice

I am not just trying to stir the pot. I personally have stirred this exact pot on this exact website many times, and it gets nowhere. What I actually was trying to show was that there is just an equal amount pride for those who dont care at all about Jesus and feel the opposite as you guys just as strongly. As a result, that can be offensive, as your posts are to some. I'm not trying to get push people's buttons for the sake of it, and I'm well aware of CC's history and values (even though the Meloons are gone), but who gives a flying f what a website says? You enjoy their boats, you enjoy the summer, the winter sucks, have fun.
