    using a slide hammer

    i have a fairly nice dent in the passenger side rear quarter panel. it's basically bumper level and pretty nicely sized. picture a softball being slammed into this area twice by the world's strongest man. how many holes should i try w/ the slide hammer? should i start in the middle or outside and work across? hopefully i can get it out some, grind it, and sand it for the body shop so i can save some money.

    If the paint isn't damaged, you should try some paintless dent repair techniques or get an estimate from your local tech. Don't get carried away and make things worse just yet.

      I concur. If it isn't wrinkled or creased, it can be fixed without using spot welds. If you can get to the inside of the area you might be able to pop it out too. Search YouTube. Lots of videos.
