I cannot believe we are allowing this to happen on a Texas lake. It should make no difference whether a boater is on the Mexican side of the lake or not. AIRTOOL, I have already sent a stinging email to the spineless new generation of Texas Rangers. The Rangers of old would have already crossed the border and hunted the murderers down.
This country is pathetic to let this keep going on down there along that border. I hope the rest of my fellow boaters will join me in contacting law enforcement and expressing outrage.
They were chasing his wife and shooting at her, too? And we're asking the Mexicans for help in finding his body?

Politics aside it is one of the primary responsibilities of the Federal government to protect our boarders and it appears to me that we continue to fail tragically. Countless US citizens have lost their lives from the violent actions of individuals who are in our country illegally. Do I need to get an open bow just so I can mount a 50 cal?

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!! Say what you will about the arizona law about illegal immigration, but at least we are trying something. I know that the pirates are most likely not illegal immigrants, but the fact remains that the federal government is more interested in pandering to the special interests and taking abuse from the mexican government than protecting their own citizens. If US citizens fired on the pirates, I am sure that the mexican government would have come out and said it was a racist act. I am not for closing our borders, but I am for legal immigration. PETITION YOUR REPS FOR AN IMMIGRATION LAW SIMILAR TO ARIZONA'S. Show the federal government that if they won't do their job, we, as states, will do it for them.

Our country is imploding in on itself. WE as a Republic had dam well take back our nation, and I mean NOW, or not only will our children suffer, but we will watch them suffer, because the "transformation" will happen in the blink of an eye.

Political affiliation is irrelevant! You either want freedom and liberty, or you don't. It's really that simple!!

That is a horrible experience for his wife, a very terrible event.

To think people can’t even enjoy public water ways. Those Mexican pirates should be dragged into our courts… why isn’t Mexico letting us go search and who is Mexico to stop us from going into their waters or banks… we already have to have US border patrol monitoring the border which they also are a part of…. Mexicans cross illegally into our borders daily… and we can’t even go across if with asking permission first… where is our border camera's, surely we have some on falcon lake to monitor the drug problem...

These kinds of events in Mexico make me never to want to go back on vacation there…

I've just returned from an overseas trip and was pulling up this post at the same time an update story appears on Fox News. My wife is freaking out and I turn the PC to her show her I spotted it here first on PN.

Good grief this is a horror story. I wouldn't even consider these turkeys terrorists. I've seen previous reports on the violence on Falcon and how it is growing just like the border streets. My dad used to fish on Falcon as a boy 60 years ago. He wouldn't even think of going there today nor to Laredo. I know some medical transport operators in the area cannot wear "uniforms" because they attract bullets. Many civilian uniformed jobs happen in street clothes for safety.

I don't know what these guys are really doing. Is it like a group of teen boys taking their pellet guns and shooting some seagulls or squirrels? Are they doped up? Is it initiation? Was someone just "swinging a gun for fun" and then lost control and pulled the trigger? I am extremely surprised they didn't kill the lady immediately after pulling up to her. Maybe there was a moment of compassion or remorse that cracked the door for her escape. I've seen her picture on the web and she is quite attractive. Perhaps they argued about taking her alive for other uses. I don't know.

What a useless administration we have. What useless leaders Mexico has. Mexico has degraded day by day in the 42 years I've been its neighbor. They will continue to do so.

In our country, Hope and Change will soon be Hope and Pray.

Yes you should definitely bring some sort of fire arm with you on the boat if you're on the border. Be very aware of your surroundings at all times. Better yet stay away from the border for now. It's just not worth it.

There was a witness on the bank to the boats chasing her. This would be one heck of a wife murders husband plot. That does not seem likely to me. I am sure the murderers were happy to add a fast jetski to their arsenal. We will see.

Our government has been castrated to the point that they won't even stand up against piracy and murder of their own citizens. Fire OBAMA, fire the house and congress and get people with balls in office. They should be more worried about protecting americans and our country than campaigning for their jobs without a budget etc being passed!!!!!!!!!!

Mexico can go F itself accusing the wife of making this up without proof. if and when this gets settled the wife should be able to sue the mexican government for millions in slander.
