I have a problem with neighbourhood cats sleeping on my boat cover/boat at night, leaving paw marks and fur and it's really bugging me. Does anyone have a simple/home made solution that will stop them from using my boat cover as a hammock? Thanks

Here is an idea. Get some of the old spring loaded mouse traps, set them on the boat cover, and cover them with a light towel, or newspaper. When the cat jumps up there, the trap immediately goes off, scares the cat, and the cat leaves.
But having said that, I would rather have cats on my boat cover, than squirrels or mice in the boat.

Cats
Where's your boat? In the driveway on on a lift at the dock? I had the same problem, my boat sits on a lift at the dock and I had the neighbors cats sleeping in the boat and could smell cat piss one time. I made a PVC frame 8' x 8' with 1 1/2" PVC and wire tied plastic netting to it. The resulting "shield" spans the walk to my dock and blocks cats (and the dogs) from getting out on the dock. They can't jump around it or over it so my problem was solved. It attaches on one end into 2" pvc fastened to my dock and swivels to the side to allow access. If your boat is in your driveway, get an air pistol or use that as an excuse to build you a nice "man cave" to house the boat!2004 196 LE Black/Grey

My wife is sick of the neigbors cats and their paw prints and other "treats" they leave us. She wants me to shoot them with my bow, and then stick their head on the fence as a warning to the other cats.....I think its a little extreme, but she keeps on asking when am I getting my bow out. Not sure this will make many friends with the neighbors, but then again they should keep their cats at home.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower
