    Tsunami hits Santa Cruz Harbor

I went down to Santa Cruz Harbor yesterday to watch the tide surges from the tsunami triggered by the Japanese quake. We had no idea what we would end up witnessing. My buddy shot this video from with his iPhone. I was sick to my stomach watching these boats get tossed around like rag dolls. Estimates are at least 20 vessels ended up completely submerged and up to 50 suffered catastrophic damage. This obviously pales in comparison to the damage in Japan but it is amazing how that tragedy 6,000 miles away can hit so close to home.

Thoughts and prayers to all the victims near and far...

        Wow,
I was actually in Nakita Airport in Tokyo and my flight left about an hour before the earthquake hit. Amazing the effects were felt in the states.
