Hey guys! I just thought I'd post a few pics of this year's chattwake.com boat. I know I'm not currently a Nautique owner, but I just felt like sharing because I've been an active member of PN for years now. Yes, I know that there are probably a billion things that you guys won't like about the A22, but I'm really really happy with it right now. As some of you guys know, I owned three 230's in a row. I loved the 230's that I had, but it got the the point where I was concerned with buying and selling one every year due to the cost of the 230 being so high. Obviously, I'm in a unique situation, but it is what it is.
The stereo install was not a whole lot of fun, but I'm glad it's done. I went with 6 wetsounds xs650's, a XXX 12 sub, a WS420 eq, 2 Pro 485's, 2 Syn4's and 1 Syn1. I'm using two D3100 series AGM batteries from www.4xspower.com.
I ended up deciding to make my own LED speaker rings and cupholder rings for this boat. It was not particularly easy, and they don't look perfect (like the rings you can buy on-line) but the only cost me about $10 per ring when all was said and done. I thought they turned out pretty good!
The z5 was a bit of a challenge because I had to relocate the rear mounting struts because the 485's were in the way. I swapped out all clear LED's on the trailer for the colored lights (thanks Owen at Boatmate).
The plug n play install was super easy. I ended up using the big 1100 lb surf sacs in the rear instead of the normal plug n play bags.
I did all of the work myself, and I'm pretty stoked with the results. I know it's no Nautique, but I'm happy for now!
