Malibu's back to the right, with a LH rotation prop??

Just curious about this, I've ridden in a couple of Malibu's lately, and have noticed that they back to the right, even though they use LH rotation props. A friend just got a VTX, LH prop, and we noticed that the surf wake is better on the starboard side, I always thought it was better on the side in the direction of prop rotation?
I know on my 99 with RH prop, surf wake is better on the starboard side AND backs to the right, what gives?

Are you sure your 99 backs to the right? Mine backed to the left (i.e,. to port).

My 99' sport backs to the left, and it uses a rh prop. Is your 99' a V drive?

RH backs to the left, LH backs to the right.

        There are no exceptions lol.

All Nautiques will back to the left unless they have the certain v-drive applications that are running left hand rotation props. Some V's are right, Some are left. Most after 02 though...

Here's the problem, if you're facing the stern, a LH rotation prop backs to your right and vice versa. If you're facing the bow, it's the other way.

            That's why ...

            LH rotation backs to starboard.

            RH rotation backs to port.
