    Bullards Bar
    Berryessa
Sonoma- home lake- cool boat in camping
    Rollins
    Clementine
    Don Pedro
    McClure

    Thanks!

You could always try Oroville.. They have some good camp sites and also floating camp sites....

I've heard good things about Oroville as well. I have a buddy who does the floating camp site every year and says it so convenient to be on the water with your boat tied up to the "campground".

camp anywhere in Shasta. Just drop the boat in, throw all your stuff in and go explore. Find an island, or a deep finger cove with some nice tree coverage to pich your tent.

This is a great source for Shasta http://www.shastalake.com/shastalake/index.html

I have always loved Bulards Bar.. The only issue is the lack of showers.
Trinity is very nice but quite a drive.

This is the best reference guide for CA Lakes, we've used this for years. We have a few staples that we always go to then we try to pick a new lake each year. I prefer the Sierra foothills to the central valley. Less crowded, better conditions, and national forest. The downside is that there are few (if any) amenities like stores, gas, and marinas. I prefer packing it in myself...get away from the madness...
