    Ford EcoBoost...

Has anyone had any experience pulling their Nautique with the Ford EcoBoost engine? I just picked up mine yesterday but haven't had the opportunity to pull the boat yet. According to everything I have read, for a V6 it is unbelievable and almost feels like a diesel. My hopes are high but Im not expecting the torque of a diesel. I'm picking up the boat tomorrow so I will give you my opinion then.

There has been talk on wakeworld about the new Ecoboost. Unfortunately I dont have one, but I have only heard good things. I have no doubt it will pull like a champ. It would be what I would want when its time to upgrade my F-150.

06, send a pic of the new ride and the engine compartment. I had a 91 Ford SHO and it punched, I can't imagine the new SHO with the EcoBoost and 365HP and I think over 400 FT/LB torque? I just towed my boat 200 miles north with an 07 Dodge Ram 4.7 and I made it, wasn't happy about it, could have used another litre!!

Wow is all I can say! This motor is pretty impressive to say the least. I only towed about 30 miles, so not sure on gas mileage. I would definitely recommend the EcoBoost for towing, and it handles really well. Heading to TN in a few weeks so we will see how it does on a long trip.
