Yukon Denali stolen last night!! Grrrrrr !!

Week 2 in our new house in a new town. Day 2 at the new gym. Scheduled to meet a furnace guy at the house in 45 mins, just squeeze in a bit of cardio on the way home from work ...

Yeah right, some off with my truck !!

So being day 2 at the gym I've got no lock for my locker so thinking my wallet and iphone would be safer locked in the truck ... yeah, they're gone too. I'm pretty beat up about this. Yeah, it's not a new truck but it was almost paid off. Cop says "3rd vehicle stolen today, so far". Perfect. Can't wait to see how useful the police turn out to be. *eyes rolling*

Yeah, it was actually stolen close to house, not the cottage. We live about 20 mins from the native reserve. Locals say thats where you'll find it. Stripped and burnt most likely. You'd think the cops would be more interested in using Onstar to find the thing.

Didn't they use Onstar to locate it? That should of been the first thing done. I think if that ever happens to me with my truck I will call the cops, then call Onstar myself. Onstar will then call the local law enforcement and tell them where it is.

Bottom line is, it sucks!!!!! Car and wallet gone Now you have to deal with all the credit card crap and DMV crap

Onstar will also stop and disable the vehicle. And the iphone can be tracked down too.

Onstar is not good for theft recovery because it's very easy to disable and only the newer systems have the remote ignition cut off. You are better off tracking the iPhone, but that's probably already sold to a local tweeker.
