    Mc x7

Sorry this could be sinful, but does anyone know how the MC X7 wake is for slalom/boarding and are you able to get a surfable wake out of it? I can do all 3 with my 1993 SN (slalom is the best obviously), but I've been informed by the boss that I need a boat with more seating capacity. Found a great deal on a 06 X7, but I don't want to lose any of the capability I have now. Maybe I'll end up with 2 boats. I've put a lot of love into my SN to get it just the way I want it.

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

X7 is the same hull as the Prostar 197 it just comes with ballast, tower, and different graphics package. There are no differences to the running surface though. It is surfable and will probably be on par with your '93 in that respect.

well, with a little hardcore searching, I also found a not bad deal on a sv211. I've read lots about this being a good cross over boat but...

can one actually slalom the course behind this v-drive?? or will the wake throw you for a loop?

You can run the slalom course with the 211, but it wont be fun, soft knees, soft knees. NOTHING Skies like a direct drive. We slalom, and the kids surf behind my friends rlxi with the wedge....just a thought. I think you could surf my boat, but I dont want to mess with sacks so we use the bu when the kids are tired of skiing.

I'm surfing around here looking for the ultimate crossover and trying to get as much information as possible about the sport 200. My current ride is an 08 PS 197 which is the same hull as the X7. And Yes, Yes and Yes are the answers to your requirements. Board, Surf and a superior ski wake being the only 5 event approved tow boat ever. Mind you I haven't skied behind a ski 200 as yet. Till then can't complain about the EVO hull MC.

dihrdskir - how much ballast to you have to add to your 197 to get a decent wakeboarding wake and how do you load it up for a surf wake?

Stock MC .. Ballast. There is no room for sacs and in any event we choose to have the space. Depending on how many we have in the boat we shift the weight around to suit whomever is out the back. Don't expect a tsunami. The wake is surfable, definitely clean and rideable and absolutely skiable. If surfing is your priority go for a Vee drive. The MC is top drawer ski boat that happens to be good for boarding surfing and barefooting.
