Gonna bump this thread because I got rid of the old yellow project and bought this instead. This isnt my exact car, but one just like it in the garage. Got a set of ford racing gt500 mufflers, barton shifter bracket and painted to match hood struts going on in the spring.

Car has a 4.88 gear and is wound tight at the end of an 1/8th. If I could ever get the hesitation out at the line it likely would run 5.9 something. But I had more fun wake boarding last year and going to the track is down on the list.

Lucky, That Shelby is beautiful, Love the Cobra too. LX notch backs are my fave Fox body car. In conversations with my customer I usually find most boat guys are into cars as well. We are a Mopar family.
Not the fastest, Doesnt stop well or turn well but it looks good doing it. . It was a small block air car completely original other than a repaint long long ago. It was as I bought it 10 years ago externally save the wheels and tires.
Internally It got 3.91 sure grip in the back. A 2600 stall in a stock transmission. 360ci zero deck height flat top pistions. Stock smog heads with 2.02 intakes and a 3 angle valve job. Old school MP grind purple shaft cam. Stock style aluminum dual plane intake and a Speed Demon 650 Carb. Cheapo headers because I was poor when I put the motor together at age 17 haha.
It's dead nuts consistant and launches with no wheel spin on drag radials and open headers. Made it to the semi final out of 400 cars in the local highschool nationals when I was a Senior. (long time ago haha)
That motor has treated me well even though I drive it like I stole it. It has about 16k miles on it and probably upwards of 200 passes not to mention all the "un offical passes"
Best pass to date was a 13.19 at 104.00mph. Weighs 3820 with me and fuel in it.
Tow vehicle is a 2010 Ram with the 390 hp Hemi and a 3.92 sure grip rear end. The Porsche is probably faster by a little bit haha. Had a 73 911 T back in highschool too.

There's a definite correlation between boat and car guys. I think if the thread were changed to "who has the most exotic car" you'd see some some incredible iron on this site.'08 196LE (previous)
