Our family is going to spend a week at Lake Norris in Tennesee in August. Does anyone know if permits are required to put in a portable slalom course. The house we are renting is between Lone Mountain Marina and Straight Creek Bridge Marina, so I do not think there is a local course.

There is a course in Big Creek area, but that's a long way for you. We are Houseboating for a week in June and are taking our portable also. We are hoping for forgiveness instead of permission. If you know the area, how far will I be from the big creek course?

Pull up the map, and find the dam, go upstream on the same section of water about 3 -5 miles big creek is on the left. Your area is on the other section of the lake at what looks to be the far end.... It sounds like you may know the lake a little. Is the area ( between Lone Mountain Marina and Straight Creek Bridge Marina) I am in shallow?Comment
