    Barefoot boat

I have seen some Mastercraft outboard boats that were made specifically for barefooting. What advantages does such a boat provide as opposed to a ski boat? Does this type of boats provide less turbulence or a smoother prop wash that that of a a ski boat?

it has to do with the table of the wake. it is very smooth and easy to cross.

You can also plane out the outboard, to get a higher speed. Those OB ski boats can usually do about 50mph. The disadvantage being less tracking ability, and the outboard engine which is in the way for the ski platform, etc. The wake is hard and small. The Mastercraft Barefoot 200 is less desireable than the Malibu version, the flightcraft, which was offered until around 1999. The flightcraft, or "flighty" is a total barefoot cult icon boat.
