GOOD LORD how did you fathers do it!!!

My wife is pregnant with our first, and we are having twins. How in the world did you guys survive mood swings??? Monday we planned on going to the lakehouse this weekend, then Tuesday we are not, Wednesday it changed to just me going, today both of us are going down Saturday. And women say we will never know how much it hurts to have a baby, well they will never know how rough it is to deal with them, I think it's an even trade off!!

Congradulations on twins! Marriage changes things, but nothing like having kids. I can give a couple of tips that might help- if momma ain't happy, nobody's happy. So go with the flow and do what it takes to keep her happy. The second came from a friend when we were talking about daughters in Jr. High going thru mood changes. He said that their lives are like a roller coaster, up and down, fast enough to make your head spin. They are on that ride and you can't get them off. The best you can do is not get on that ride with them, you will have no control over it, it will wear you out, and it won't help them. Stay at the platform and wait for them to slow down or get off, then you can help them. It seems to apply too for pregnant women who are also going thru hormonal and mood swings. You can't change anything, just have to deal with it.

Paublo is correct. And sometimes it is better to clear the way (including the kids) to minimize collateral damage.

I know the roller coaster is crazy at our house. I always suspected, but it was confirmed....one time my mother-in-law told me while she was visiting us for some weeks "AirTool, I have a lot of respect for you and your patience. I raised three daughters and I can tell you that Mrs.AirTool gets PMS worse than any of them. I don't know how you do it."

I just look at the good side, we wanted 2 kids and we get to get it done all at onetime.

All Women are nuts, the downhill scale starts at single women, then married women, followed by pregnant women with the extreme end of the spectrum being Teenage Girls!! If you think this is tough wait 13 years if those are twin girls in there, Trust me, I know, LOL!!!

Congrats on the future additions, enjoy every moment!!

I shouldn't do this because I'm not in charge and not the One in charge, but I hope at least one of them is a sizzler. I don't think life or parenting would be complete without one. Maybe you will be blessed with two. It certainly will be easier for neither to be a sizzler....but not complete.

I have one of each so quite a blessing in both respects. If you are blessed with one (or two), you can always seek some guidance on this site: www.sizzlebop.com

P.S. My Sizzler and my Roller Coaster both have red hair. Lets see who can top that....so I can add you to my prayer list.

Pretty sure we have one boy in the oven by an early sono. The other one was hiding. We have all girl grandchildren on my side and all boy grandchildren on her side. So one of each would be GREAT!! I already told the wife we will need a bigger boat.

I was thinking Correct and Craft. Wonder if that would score me a free G25?

Do you ever watch king of the hill or the simpsons?

I have 5 children and 4 of them are girls. Its interesting because your new vocabulary is "Yes honey" or "I'm on it" or a new one i have been using is "Roger that" and it goes out the other ear as fast as it came in. A happy wife is a happy home.

                        Tip
If you think that things are bad now you are in for a surprise. Just wait until she gives birth and then you go back home. She will continually ask you if she looks ok, and crave your attention. This is normal and just refer to the statement above and say "Yes Honey" no matter what.

Hope i helped and if you need further assistance just ask

agree with the post above: it won't stop with childbirth. When you figure it out, let the rest of us know.

And I was voting for the names Phineas and Ferb...

A better chance than Air and Team. Or Port and Starboard. Or Bow for the older and Stern for the younger. Fakie and Goofy? The list goes on.
