Some surf action behind a 1997 SSN

So I finally threw some clips together in a video of a some days out on the lake. Boat is a 1997 super sport nautique with about 1500lbs in surf ballast and 3-4 people. This is my first year with a v-drive and i have been loving it. Finally made the jump from my '88 2001 to this project boat. Been slowly but surely bringing her back to life. Always been more into wakeboarding but with my first season of surfing under my belt now i'm hooked. Anyways check it out:

Nice job on the video and surfing. Is that a go pro on a stick? Cool tunes too, didn't recognize them.

Great shots you got there. Would be interested in what kind of camera gear you are using. Been considering a new GoPro Hero 3 black edition. Love the glass water too. Can't wait for the spring! Gonna be some serious shrinkage going on cause we ain't waiting too long for the water to warm.

yeah the lake empties out pretty quick later in the season. All shots were done with a contour roam. Shoots 1080 video, waterproof, and i couldn't ask for much more. I chose that over the goPro since it is already waterproof and i dont need any extra enclosures or anything. Have been using it for 2 years now without a problem. I attached a tripod quick connect mount to a ski pole and thats how i was able to get the different angles.

Love your taste in music, two of my favorite tracks! Nice looking wake too, what's your ballast setup?

the OP has a super sport nautique. it's a v-drive, basically a super air. you're looking at a direct drive sport. 2 totally different animals.

I have a 97 sport DD and we surf with it. One sack in the ski locker, one on the back seat and two on what ever side you are surfing.

Ahh...Busch. Cant wait until June, if the ice ever thaws by then I may just get a crack at waves, water and proper beer. None of which is in Riyadh.

Nice video, I think THAT's what it's all about-
