anyone know if the range is far enough to view the video from an iphone/ipad in the boat? I know that is requiring a heap of non-water friendly technology on a boat but was curious.

Probably. I bought the whole setup last night to inspect some special well casing I'm having welded. I had to hook up with an iPhone buddy because I run Droid.

      Absolutely amazing. More later....gotta go.

        Wakeslasher,

It runs off wifi so it will def go 80ft if not much further when out on the lake. It does have a 3 second delay, but you can frame your shots much easier and nothing beats having a remote, so you can film only the actual riding.

I can't figure out how to view the files via the app...I'm thinking it doesn't do that.

I control from the boat the cameras mounted on my buddy & the ski jump without issues. Was able to view the footage as well on my iphone this past weekend
