The 2013 Chevy LTZs are discounted about 9-10k right now. Should I scoop up a 2013 or wait for the 2014? A bit nervous about the drop in value on the current models.

I would wait to the see the interior. Although I saw some pictures of the 2014 and it sure doesn't look ALL new to me. Looks like some new headlights. Out of all the trucks the chevy would be the last on my list too.
The new Ram has a 8 speed transmission and a air ride suspension. Gets 20 mpg on the highway too.Nautique Promo Team Washington/Oregon

I'm a GM guy for many years, but despite that I just purchased a 2013 F150 eco-boost and love it! I have not towed with it yet, but I have high expectations as a result of tons of input from other owners. If you're looking for a great truck that tows like a diesel and has the luxury interior similar to many high-end cars take a look at the F150. There are still some 2012 leftovers out there for a really good price! (BTW, I came from a 2007 5.3 Suburban that was nice, but towing a 6000# rig really made it work hard esp. on the hills.

I'm a Dodge guy that drove a Chevy last...and have a 2005 F150 I bought new and now have 164K miles on it. We drive it EVERYWHERE unless we need seating for more than 5. The fit and finish can't be beat. I dare you to go drive one.
But to answer your question, I'd buy the older one. You'll have a head start on having low mileage.

Buy a 2013 Ford.
I was a die hard GM fan my entire life. But....its over. I still have a 93 C1500 swb 2x and a 99 Tahoe 2dr 4x...but the odds of me buying another GM are slim to none. Even the other day I rode in a new Cadillac Tahoe-like do-dad and thought? This thing is crap. Why would a person buy one of these.
I have a 2010 F150 Super Crew 6.5' bed 4x and a 2011 Expedition Long 4x....love them.

At the risk of turning this into a brand debate (if it hasn't already) I'll +1 for Ford. Like many of you, I've owned them all...both diesel and gas. And with all of them, i've done everything from daily drive to yanking 60,000# of shelled corn around in the barn lots. Ford just makes a great truck. And am especially impressed with the ECO boost for medium duty trailering. It has as much guts as my '92 Ford 7.3 (pre-power stroke).Peace..

I just bought a 13 Ford F150 EB 4WD. When you test drive trucks, the EB is really a different beast altogether.
My previous trucks were a 02 and 09 Chevy Avalanche. I never had any problems with either one. I mistakenly purchase a 2WD in 09 (my first non 4x4) or I would probably be still driving it. For me, I was apparently ready for a different interior look.

Towing a small 21' boat like a 210 is the most I'd do with an Eco boost(at sea level). It's just pushing the turbos and everythin else hard towing any kind of distance with a v-6. Still awesome, but not an ideal hauler IMO. a land cruiser is one of the toughest, nicest, best performing SUVs to this day. I'd imagine tundras are similar.
