Ha..ok, I'll chime in again. Don't let Bank of America know you are a firearms enthusiast...! They might freeze your account. They've just frozen American Spirit Arms' accounts for manufacturing firearms..!
      Peace..

don't let them know you're American, either. When I heard they have a loan SPECIFICALLY for illegal aliens I swore they would never see a cent of my money...

oh, wait...this isn't about firearms. How about this: anybody got experience with a P220? Wanting something bigger than a 9mm but not quite ready for a 1911.

I haven't shot the P220 but it is pretty nice. It is one of the few modern guns around with a de-cocker....which I like. The stamped tangs on the side look cheesy but they are probably okay.

a friend of mine just got a sig P226 9mm. it looks to be almost the same pistol. all i can say is that i love it. such a nicely shaped grip, and the short reset trigger is pretty nice(not standard). never owned a gun with a de-cocker before, but i really like it. I haven't shot it too much, but so far i like it and it's 100% reliable. i enjoy shooting 1911's more than any other pistol, but they aren't ideal for concealed carry UNLESS you figure out what mags it likes best, what ammo it likes best, etc. everyone of them is super finicky, but when you get them right they are so awesome for range/carry.

that little ar only becomes an sbr if you put a stock on it. i'd advise against kimber. they are nice, but for the money you could get a les baer or maybe an ed brown which are way nicer. i know ed brown's don't use any metal injection molded parts like kimber. i don't think les baer does either.

Yes I know. I'm still trying to figure out what happens if I put the broomstick on the front.

I'm looking into stamps for a 22 SBR and a silencer for my P22 (not P522) and "other 22s" (read P522) but in Harris county it is impossible without an estate attorney. I've got to finish a project I'm working on and paperwork/insurance/taxes for my new company and then look into it.....If its not "too late".

ya i want to get a few stamps also for an ar platform sbr that's suppressed, but i dont feel like shelling out $4000 and having to wait close to a year to actually take the gun home. i'll get one one day i hope. i've heard about using estate attorneys, but i thought it was just if you wanted to set it up to be transferred in case the stamp holder passes away. i guess it depends on where you live like everything else.

Never been a huge fan of revolvers but I'm going to pick up a S&W Model 29 .44mag tomorrow from my uncle. Can't pass it up for the price I'm getting it for. That is one gun that definitely makes a statement!

it's amazing how EVERY caliber of ammo is out of stock basically anywhere you might try. some shotgun shells are available, and maybe a box of this here and there, but it's pretty crazy. congrats on the wheel gun. i hope you're prepared for the recoil on that 44mag. wear some very good ears whenever you end up shooting it.

There was a gun article I read decades ago. I had just bought a 686. ....The title of the cover article was "Make mine...a 629."

That's a hard axiom to forget.

Bump - I'm working tonight from a Starbucks in La. (took off city to protect the innocent)
The three baristas (2 girls 1 guy) are talking about what guns are available/not available at the nearby Academy.
One of the girls (coincidentally - my favorite) is complaining she can't get 223 ammo to fire her AR. She says she shoots it every week and finally ran out of ammo.

I think the hype will slowly diminish. Give it a month or so and stock up on guns and ammo to prevent you from being high and dry after the next crisis the dems try to take advantage of.

No intentions on hijacking this thread but it seems appropriate to ask here. I'm thinking of a side arm for my wife. The market had slim pickings but I found a bersa thunder .380 at a good price. Any reviews on this piece? She is a tiny girl but strong. It is d/a and that is my concern. But again she is strong.
