    What an off season!

Been gone awhile with good reason. Many of u knew my wife was pregnant with our first and twins at that. After 2-1/2 years of trying and out of pocket cost close to a new g23 my wife gave birth to the boys 1/28/13, Matthew 6.8 and Andrew 6.3. Then it got wild, while down in NICU being told that Andrew had Downs Syndrome I walked back to my wifes room in a haze. As I pass her doctor in the hall I hear him tell a nurse to get the family a chapel up here now. I walk into the room to find out my wife has bled out 7 units of blood and was unconscious and on a vent being prepped for life saving surgery. Her mother by her side in tears and I will never forget her saying "it's not good". Well 3 hours in the OR and 2 days on a vent in ICU she made it. Everyone is home now and doing fine, momma fully released and below pre-pregnant weight (very proud of her for that). Boys are sleeping 9 hours a night at 6 weeks old, we have a long road ahead but we wouldn't have it any other way.

I was thinking port and starboard....but being opposed throws that off a bit.

                Congratulations!
Sorry you had to go through that tough period, but I am sure the whole family is going to be much stronger and appreciative of life after that.

Sometimes it's easy to get lost in the "noise" of everyday worries. Thanks for sharing your story and reminding me about what's most important!

But don't wait to fill your quiver (v.5)....to start filling your G23 with them..!
                  Peace..

Wow. News like that hits you like a brick wall. I'm sorry for the struggles. Good to hear Mom is doing well.

I know its gonna be hard the next little while getting used to your sons diagnosis, and nothing will make it easier. We had our first son 1.5 years ago and he was diagnosed with a rare brain condition. I know reading about others with special needs kids helped me get thorough some of the tough days. Feel free to check out my son's blog at fighterjett.blogspot.com because, unfortunately, misery loves company!

                    Good luck with everything
