So yesterday I went to my local GMC dealership to purchase the new Sierra. When I got there I test drove the one that they had there and it was awesome. There was only 2 big issues I had with it, A) it was white, B) it had the 3:02 rear end (6500 lbs towing) and I need the 3:42 rear end (9,000 lbs) to comfortably tow my 230. So I went into the dealer's office and he ran a 500 mile search of other dealerships for the truck that I wanted and no one had them. So I asked him to just order me one and I would be patient. He then tells me that they have already reached their limit for how many they can order in X amount of time so it will be 2-4 weeks before he can even place the order and then about 12 weeks for them to have the truck to me!?!?!? Does this not seem a little messed up to you guys? They have a paying customer here willing to buy a car from them but yet they have to wait 2-4 weeks to even place an order for me? Seems like a messed up system to me.
On a good note, the new GMC is so much more than I expected! It is extremely nice, comfortable, and good looking! It is nicer on the interior than my wife's Cadillac CTS. I would post some pics but for some reason they are showing up sideways so i guess you'll just have to take my word for it haha.
